NANCY SUE SEBASTIAN LOYD
Cedar Rapids
Nancy Sue Sebastian Loyd was born June 12, 1953, in Cedar Rapids and gently passed from her life here to eternal life with our loving God while living in Lubbock, Texas, surrounded by family members after a long but brave battle with breast cancer.
She graduated from Jefferson High School in 1971 and loved her job at Frank Magid and Associates in Marion before moving to
Jackson, Wyo., to work at the National Museum of Wildlife Art as executive assistant to the president/CEO and the board of trustees. What a blessing this job was to Nancy.
She was a member of Casting for Recovery Wyoming (cancer group) and Emmanuel Bible Church in Thayne, Wyo. She enjoyed cooking, boating, snow skiing, hunting, fishing and their beloved dogs and horses. Her love of crocheting produced many gifts too.
Nancy married her beloved husband, Ted Loyd, on Nov. 13, 1993, and became Momma Nance to his two loving daughters, Heather and Patricia, and eventually their five grandchildren, Alexandria, Peyton, Alexander, Timothy and Kallie.
Survivors also include her father, Bob Sebastian in Marion; brothers, Ed (Marilyn) in Cedar Rapids and Mike (Pam) in Cumming, Ga.; nieces, Tammy and Lori; nephews, Tim and Rob; great-nephews, McKale, Tanner, Corby, Cooper and Joey; and great-nieces, Cali, Carly, Gemma and Lily. And we must mention numerous fun cousins and forever friends galore. God bless you all.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Patricia; and a baby brother, Timmy Joe.
There will be a "Nancy With the Laughing Face" celebration of life on June 19 at National Museum of Wildlife Art in Jackson, Wyo.
