Mark, Lennadore 'Sugar'
Lennadore “Sugar” Mark, 74, of Iowa City, died Monday, Oct. 3, 2011, in her home. A service will be held at Trinity Episcopal Church at 3 p.m. Friday, Oct. 7.
Sugar was born Aug. 27, 1937, in Ames, Iowa, the daughter and only child of Julian Claude and Lennadore Schilletter.
Sugar received a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Iowa, and was a member of many community organizations: Pi Beta Phi, Raphael Club, University of Iowa Art Membership Committee, University Book Club, Old Capital Quilt Guild, and the Circle of Friends Quilt Guild.
Sugar is survived by her son, Curt Leigh Mark of Ann Arbor, Mich.; daughter, Kristen Mark of Chicago; and her former husband, Allyn L. Mark.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed in Sugar's name to the University of Iowa Museum of Art or The Holden Comprehensive Cancer Center.
