Cpl. Adam F. Wolff USMC, 25, of Cedar Rapids, formerly of Ottumwa, died June 20, 2014, in Afghan-istan.

He was born July 16, 1988, in Ottumwa, to Nich-olas and Deborah Christy Wolff. Adam was a 2006 graduate of Cardinal High School. While living in Cedar Rapids, he worked at Casey's and A&W Restaurant. He was a gamer, enjoyed four-wheeling, motorcycles and paintball. Adam spent a great deal of time outdoors, spending time with siblings while growing up.

He joined the United States Marine Corps in December 2012 and was promoted to lance corporal Feb. 1, 2014. He was post-humously promoted to corporal. He was a member of the 2nd Combat Engineer Battalion, 2nd Marine Division, II Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Lejeune, N.C.

Adam is survived by his parents, Nicholas Wolff and Deborah Hall, both of Ottumwa; two brothers, his twin, Aaron Wolff, and Nathan (Michele) Baughan, both of Cedar Rapids; three sisters, Amanda (Scott) Vance of Philadelphia, Pa., Jesse Wolff of Seattle, Wash., and Angela (Shane) Malone of Ottumwa; grandmother, Rosemary Christy of Ottumwa; grandfather, Franklin Wolff of Seattle; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Gene Christy; grand-mother, Marilyn Wolff; and cousin, Travis Worten.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Sunday at Bridge View Center, Ottumwa, with Pastor Mark Hornback officiating. Burial will be in Fiedler Cemetery, Ottumwa, with military honors conducted by Echo Company 2nd Battalion Marines. Visitation begins 3:30 p.m. Saturday at Reece Funeral Home in Ottumwa, with the family present from 5 to 8 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Wounded Warrior Project or Fisher House.
