Lary L. Roztocil, 78, of Cedar Rapids, died Saturday, March 6, 2021, at his daughter's home in Iowa City. Graveside service with military rites at 3 p.m. Thursday, March 18, at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include his wife, Veronica; two sons, Charles (Shelly) and Terry, both of Cedar Rapids; a daughter, Tracy (Jeffrey) Kueter of Iowa City; and a sister, Donna Roztocil of Cedar Rapids. He is also survived by four grandchildren, Joseph and Katherine Kueter and Alexander and Aidan Roztocil.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Lary was born Nov. 23, 1942, in Cedar Rapids, the son of Charles and Mildred (Morhofer) Roztocil. He married Veronica S. Ealy on June 19, 1971, in Cedar Rapids.
Lary was a machinist at Rockwell-Collins and retired from there after more than 35 years of service in 2000. He was a youth baseball and soccer coach for several years. He was an avid bird watcher, enjoyed walking his dog Jessie and proudly served in the Navy during the Vietnam War.
Lary will forever be remembered as a wonderful and caring husband, father, grandfather and friend whose memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved him.
