Wierschke, Deborah C.
Deborah C. Wierschke, 52, of Marion, died Sunday, Feb. 3, 2013, in her home from natural causes. Memorial Services: 10 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 24, at Neighborhood Church, by Pastor Jim Coyle. Inurnment will be at a later date in Perkins, Mo. Teahen Funeral Home, Cedar Rapids, is serving the family.
Survivors include her husband, Fred; mother and stepfather, Mary Jane (Martin) Hircock of Perkins, Mo.; her father and stepmother, Jerry (Ann) Chapman of Texas; and stepbrothers, Brian (Mimi) Hircock of Washington and Chad Hircock of Omaha, Neb.
Deborah was preceded in death by her first husband, Paul Chute (1989); sisters, Laura Chapman-Cook and Maryanne Chapman; her grandparents; one aunt and one uncle.
Deborah Christina was born June 27, 1960, in Winterset, the daughter of Jerry and Mary Jane (Pierce) Chapman. She married Fred Wierschke on June 10, 2000, in Cedar Rapids. Deborah was a graduate of Capella University and was currently working on her master's in Mental Health Counseling through Liberty University. She had a passion for counseling and was a volunteer counselor at Neighborhood Church. She also volunteered in the food bank at Neighborhood Church and was an avid flautist in the worship team there.
Memorials may be directed toward the family.
