Dunkin, Jack
Jack Dunkin, 65, passed away Monday, April 25, 2011, at St. Luke's Hospital, Cedar Rapids. A memorial service will be held at St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Cedar Rapids on Thursday, May 5, at 10:30 a.m.
Jack was a respected and beloved member of the Cedar Rapids Real Estate community for 24 years. A lifetime resident of Marion, he graduated from Marion High School, then went to school to become an auctioneer and had his own auction business before becoming a Realtor in 1987. He spent most of his real estate career with Century 21 Area Realty and was presently an agent with Marian Arens and Associates.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Agnes Dunkin.
He is survived by his chosen family - Eve Hodge, SPC Tony Hodge, his wife, Shawn Hodge, and their children, Keira, Angie, Joseph, Kylie and Tess; Rusty Hodge and his son, Cody; and Jack's beloved dog Halley. Also special friends, Rudy and Janice Schoon, and his neighbor and friend, Dan Stephan.
Jack was an avid NASCAR fan, especially Jeff Gordon, and he enjoyed anything related to Elvis Presley.
