Rebecca A. "Becky" White, 66, of Maquoketa, Iowa, died Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2014, at her home in Maquoketa.
A graveside service and burial celebrating Becky's life will be held at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 15, from the Clarence, Iowa, Cemetery. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 15, from the Carson Celebration of Life Center in Maquoketa.
Rebecca Ann Anderson was born Jan. 30, 1948, in Springfield, Ill., to Charles and Bessie (Stanfill) White. She married Terry Vincent White Sr. on Nov. 25, 1976, in Davenport, Iowa. He preceded her in death on Dec. 27, 1991.
Becky had worked as a nurse's aide at the Jones County Care Facility for several years. She enjoyed fishing, watching television, playing dice and playing games on her iPad. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, Taylor and Zachery.
Those left to honor Becky's memory include her sons, Daniel (Sherry) White of Maquoketa, Iowa, and Anthony (Alina Divine) White of Lisbon, Iowa; five grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; and sisters, Irene Jessie Garlough of Wheatland, Iowa, Emma Kirklin of Silvis, Ill., and Shelby Costello of Wisconsin. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and a stepson, Terry.
In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, a Rebecca A. "Becky" White memorial fund has been established.
