BARBARA JENSEN
Marion
Barbara Ann (Aldrich) Jensen, 69, of Marion, died July 10, 2015, at her home after a brave battle with cancer. Celebration of Life will be from 6 to 9 p.m. July 23 at the American Legion Club in Marion. Barb graciously donated her body to the University of Iowa Department of Anatomy.
Survivors include her husband, Danny; son, Jason (Heather) Moore of Morris, Ill.; brothers, Wayne Aldrich of Honolulu, Hawaii, and Charlie Aldrich of Cedar Falls; grandchildren, Dawson and Olivia Moore of Morris, Ill.; nephew, Brian Aldrich of Denver, Colo.; and nieces, Lindsay Aldrich of Iowa City, and Kristen Aldrich of Cedar Falls.
Barb was born Feb. 8, 1946, in Manhattan, N.Y., to parents Vernett and Julie (Delerba) Aldrich. On June 17, 2001, she married Danny Jensen in Marion. She worked as a test tech at Rockwell Collins for over 30 years, retiring in 1999.
She was involved with the American Legion, Cedar Rapids Bowling Association and the Marion Red Hat Society. She loved the Hawkeyes, spending time with her grandkids and selling various items on e-Bay. She truly enjoyed her hobbies, bowling and golf.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Memorials for Barb may be made to Hospice of Mercy or the Hall Perrine Cancer Center.
The family requests those who will attend the Celebration of Life to wear Hawkeye clothes and bring memories of Barb to share. She will be watching over us as we enjoy her favorite snacks and desserts in her memory.
Please share your support and memories with Barb's family on her tribute wall at www.stewartbaxter.com under obituaries.
