Larry R. Jensen, 73,
died Sunday, July 26, 2015, at St. Luke's UnityPoint Hospital, Cedar Rapids, following a brief illness. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 30, at Goettsch Funeral Home, Monticello, where friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday. Interment will be in the Oakwood Cemetery with military honors. The Rev. Wade Reddy will officiate at the services.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.

Surviving is his wife, Sandra; a son, Mark (Teri Every) Cedar Rapids; a sister-in-law, Donna (Steve) Leytem, Monticello; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded by his parents; a son, Mike, in 1999; two brothers-in-law, Bob and Ron Stutt; and his grandparents, Fred and Dora Martens and Louis and Catherine Stutt.
Larry Ray Jensen was born May 5, 1942, at Anamosa, Iowa. He was the son of Jens and Frieda Martens Jensen. Larry was a member of the last graduating class of the Onlsow High School in 1960. He worked as a farm hand before enlisting in the U.S. Army in 1961. After his discharge from service in 1964, Larry worked for Square D and Cargill in Cedar Rapids and farmed near Center Junction. For 16 years, he operated the R.J. Station Bar and Grill in Scotch Grove and in retirement he was a bartender at the North Side in Monticello.
Larry and Sandra Stutt were married in 1973 and had two sons, Mark and Mike. Larry was a member of the American Legion Post 528 in Cascade.
