Jensen, Paul O.
Paul O. Jensen, 86, of Independence, died Thursday, July 25, 2013, at ABCM Rehab Center's West Campus in Independence.
He is survived by four children, Jerry (Barb) Jensen, Nebraska City, Neb., and Jim (Cyndi) Jensen, Jeff (Kathryn) Jensen and Diane (Jim) Dudley, all of Independence; 12 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; five brothers, Rollis Jensen, Denver, Iowa, Lee Jensen, Mitchellville, Md., Dr. Thomas Jensen, New York, N.Y., Dr. Kenneth Jensen, Cedar Rapids, and Jim Jensen, Independence; and four sisters, Ann Olander, Oelwein, Arlene McLaren, Independence, Jane Meyer, New Albin, and Kay Schwartz, Daytona, Fla.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. John's Catholic Church, Independence, with the Rev. Don Plamondon officiating. Burial will be in St. John's Catholic Cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Sunday and from 8 to 10 a.m. Monday at Reiff Funeral Home & Crematory, Independence, where there will be a Knights of Columbus rosary recited at 3 p.m., military memorial service at 7 p.m. and parish wake service at 7:30 p.m., all on Sunday.
