He graduated in 1949 from St. Patrick High School and in 1959 from the University of Iowa College of Engineering. Larry married Sally Jane Barth on Dec. 2, 1961. He retired in 1995 after 32 years as an engineer with the United States Department of Defense. He was a proud Marine who served his country bravely in the Korean conflict.
Larry loved his family and Hawkeye sports and was proud to serve on the VFW 788 Honor Guard, attending the funerals of fellow veterans.
