Miles Yindra Herbrand, 4, of Marion, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 23, 2017, at University of Iowa Stead Family Children's Hospital in Iowa City. Miles was diagnosed with epilepsy in 2015 and with Snyder-Robinson Syndrome in 2016. A celebration of Miles' life will be held in Cedar Rapids and Prairie du Sac, Wis., at a later date.
He is survived by his parents, Justin Herbrand and Laura Yindra of Marion; paternal grandparents, Stan and Ethel Herbrand of rural Dane, Wis.; maternal grandparents, John and Wilma Yindra of Franklin, Wis.; great-grandmother, Annett Binn of Waterford, Wis. (formerly of Monona, Wis.); maternal aunt and uncle, BJ and Becky Plagge of Marion, and their children, Seth and Alex; and paternal aunts and uncles, Brad and Kari Herbrand of rural Dane, and their children, Kyle, Dylan, Emily and Alison; Brian and Rebekah Herbrand of Fond du Lac, Wis., and their children, Makenna, Austin, Kylee and Kailyn; and Lance and Angie Herbrand of Sparta, Wis., and their children, Lj and McKinley.
Miles was born May 26, 2013, in Prairie du Sac, Wis., to his beloved parents, Justin John Herbrand and Laura Rachel Yindra. Miles attended preschool, Novak Elementary and Rockwell Child Development Center. Miles enjoyed turning lights on and off, iPad apps, traveling to Wisconsin and listening to mom and dad play in their bands. Miles was a gentle child who loved to blow and receive kisses.
Miles will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew him or came in contact with him.
The family would like to thank all the doctors, nurses and staff from the University of Iowa Stead Family Children's Hospital for their love, support and tender care given to Miles.
