Giza, Allan
Allan Giza, 52, of Stone City, died at his home on Wednesday, May 29, 2013, from Multiple Systems Atrophy. Services: 1 p.m. Tuesday at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories, Cedar Rapids, where friends may call after noon Tuesday. Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home in Cedar Rapids is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include his wife, Diane; a daughter, Ashleigh Baker, and a son, Travis Baker-Giza, both of Cedar Rapids; two stepsons, Zachary Weber, who lives at home, and Tim Baker of Cedar Rapids; a stepdaughter, Alison Weber, who lives at home; his parents, Anthony and Cora Giza of Stone City; a sister, Cindy (Keith) Napp of Van Nuys, Calif.; a half sister, Von (Mike) Galli of Urbana; special family friends, Beckie Peterson and Peg Rempt; and his furry friends, Liz, Misty and Hailey.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
Allan was born Nov. 29, 1960, in Cedar Rapids, the son of Anthony and Cora Melsha Giza. He married Diane K. Bennett on July 7, 2007, in Stone City.
Allan worked at Maax Corporation for over 13 years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, the Green Bay Packers and especially the time he spent with his many friends and beloved family.
He was a wonderful husband, son, brother, and father whose memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved him.
A memorial fund has been established.
