Swanson, Patricia M.

Patricia M. Swanson, 69, of Northbrook Manor died there on Tuesday, April 12, 2011, after a long illness. Memorial services at 3 p.m. Friday at the Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. Inurnment at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Survivors include three sons, David (Kathy) of Cedar Rapids, Robert (Brenda) of Van Horne, and Michael (Sheryl) of Marion; and two sisters, Diane (Slatko) Haidin of Cedar Rapids, and Barbara James of Minneapolis, Minn.

She is also survived by four grandchildren, Alison, Rachel, Elizabeth and Jessica.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one sister, Susan.

Patricia was born on July 7, 1941, in Elgin, Ill., the daughter of Leslie and Viola Heimann Wedge. She married Lenny J. Swanson on Feb. 6, 1960, in Mason City. He died in 2007. Patricia was the co-owner and operator with her husband of S&O Sales Inc.

She enjoyed crafts, crocheting, ceramics as well as being an outstanding cook. Patricia was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother who will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

A memorial fund has been established in Patricia's name.
