Veatch, Frances K.
Frances K. Veatch, 87, of Winslow House Care Center, died at St. Luke's Hospital Tuesday, June 26, 2012. Services: 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Lutheran Church of the Resurrection by Rev. Kevin T. Jones. Entombment at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home.
Survivors include two daughters, Nancy Galbraith of Van Horne and Carol (Tim) Stamp of Marion; son, Kevin of Cedar Rapids; eight grandchildren, Suzanne (Brian) Guider, Jonathan (Alison) Galbraith, William and Dalton Veatch, Katie and Trisha Hagensick and Molly and Jack Stamp; and a great grandson, William Guider.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Floyd; and her siblings.
Frances was born Feb. 17, 1925, in Fayette County, to Andrew and Lena (Torkelson) Kloster. She married Floyd “Tony” Veatch in Des Moines on Nov. 23, 1953. She worked as a registered nurse. Frances was a member of the Lutheran Church of the Resurrection
