Christensen, Christopher 'Crispy'

Christopher “Crispy” Christensen, 41, of Central City, died Sunday, June 2, 2013, at his home. Funeral Service: 10:30 a.m. Thursday, June 6, at United Church of Christ, Central City by the Rev. Vicki Engelmann. The family will greet friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Murdoch Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Central City. Burial: Mount Clark Cemetery, Central City.

Survivors include his parents, Robert Christensen of Central City and Harlene Christensen of Cedar Rapids; siblings, Shelby (Gina) Christensen of Center Point, Tricia Christensen of Cedar Rapids and Nick (Jamie) Christensen of Central City; and nieces and nephews, Blake, Mason, Alison, Olivia, Logan, Taylor, Belle and Trevan.

He was preceded in death by his nephew, Cameron.

Christopher was born Oct. 14, 1971, in Cedar Rapids, the son of Robert and Harlene Christensen. He enjoyed sports, especially softball and building custom furniture and homes. Chris loved hunting and riding motorcycles. Most of all, Chris loved his friends and family, and enjoyed spending time with them.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Chris's memory.
