Boots, Gene R.
Gene R. Boots, 73, of Elkader, died peacefully on Sept. 28, 2009, at his home. He had been courageously battling prostate cancer for several years. Graveside Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 1, 2009, at East Side Cemetery in Elkader, with Pastor Andrea Mericle officiating.
Survivors include his daughters, Toni (Dan) Moser of Escondido, Calif., and Sue Ann (Doug) Larson of Elkader; two very special granddaughters, Stephanie Moser of Escondido, Calif., and Alison Larson of Elkader, and his sister, Bonnie Severson of Elkader.
