Keim, Keith K.
Keith K. Keim, 78, of 6401 Decatur St. SW, died Saturday, Nov. 6, 2010, at his home. Services: 11 a.m. Wednesday at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. The Rev. William Harnish will officiate. Entombment: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday.
Survivors include two sons, Joel (Heather) of Marengo and Kerry of Solon; a daughter, Cindy (Kevin) Lawler of Carroll; two stepchildren, Deborah (Michael) Milot of Longmont, Colo., and Jonathan (Sharon) Enabnit of Pueblo West, Colo.; two sisters, Marian (Herb) Davis of Oregon, Ill., and Joyce (Gerald) Strength of Mississippi; and his significant other, Sue Thompson of Cedar Rapids. He is also survived by grandchildren, MaKayla, MaKenna, Zane, Zander and Zayden Keim; three stepgrandchildren, James (Eileen) Egger, Juliann (Neal) Horan and Nicole D'Alessandro; and two stepgreat-grandchildren, Ovivia and Owen.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Dick; and stepson, Jerome Iowa.
Keith was born Oct. 18, 1932, in Chicago, the son of George and Zella (McGinty) Keim. He married Beverly J. Weber on Nov. 22, 1975, in Cedar Rapids. She died in 2004. Keith was owner and operator of Kennedy Paint Co. for over 32 years, retiring in 1994. He was a member of Elk Lodge 251. Keith was an avid Hawkeye fan and enjoyed bowling, going to the casino, watching wrestling and especially the time he shared with his beloved family.
A memorial fund has been established in Keith's name.
