SHIRLEY (HUDSON) SCHULZE

Shirley (Hudson) Schulze, 83, died Wednesday, Jan. 10, 2018, at her home. In accordance with her wishes, private family services will be held with burial at Salem Cemetery near Van Horne. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
Shirley Hudson was born Jan. 31, 1934,
on a farm in Linn County to Kenneth and Pansy (McNeal) Hudson. She graduated from Blairstown High School in 1952.
Shirley was united in marriage to Myron "Mike" Schulze on June 22, 1952, at the Blairstown Presbyterian Church. Mike preceded her in death on Dec. 4, 2016, following 64 years of marriage.
She is survived by her six children, Myra Collins, Carol Schulze, Terry (Brad) Eichhorn, Merry (Bob) Johnson, Dave (Becky) Schulze and Laura (Rod) Bridgewater; nine grandchildren, Heather, Geoffrey, Matthew, Michael, Ben, Rebecca, Dustin, Andrew and Megan; 10 great-grandchildren; and her sister, Coleen (Mike) Tracy.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Mike; grandson, Gregory Johnson; brother, Kenneth Hudson Jr.; and sister, Doris Jean Kelly.
