EARLENE I. PHELPS

Earlene I. Phelps, 75, died Wednesday, Dec. 9, following a brief illness.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 16, at Van Steenhuyse-Russell Funeral Home in Vinton with Pastor David Condry officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 15, at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Mount Auburn Cemetery.
She is survived by her husband, Junior, Dysart; daughters, Glenna (Darryl) McNeal, Patty (David) Linsley and Connie Gilbert, all of Vinton; sisters, Evelyn Lang, Winthrop, and Carol (Delbert) Brown, Waterloo; 10 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons in infancy; three brothers, Clyde, Clarence and Roy; and three sisters, Dorothy Neuenkirk, Lois Widdel and Mert Hare.
A memorial fund has been established.
