Anderson, Bruce J.
Bruce J. Anderson, 49, of Cedar Rapids, passed away Tuesday, July 24, 2012, at St. Luke's Hospital following an accident. A memorial service celebrating Bruce's life will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, July 30, at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories, with Pastor Pam Reinig officiating. Inurnment will take place in Cedar Memorial Park Mausoleum.
Survivors include his siblings, Col. (Ret.) Brad (Ann-Christin) Anderson of Ethiopia, Amy (Scott) Simmons of New Sharon, and Becky (Edward) Berg of Sigourney; his stepmother, Rose Anderson of Shellsburg; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Bruce was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
Bruce James Anderson was born Sept. 17, 1962, in Cedar Rapids, the son of Burdette and Arla Jean (Shaffer) Anderson/Hubbard. Bruce worked for American Bottling Co. in Cedar Rapids for 31 years and was the warehouse night Sspervisor.
Bruce gave the gift of life through the Iowa Donor Network and will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew him.
