Madoerin, Ronald David
Ronald David Madoerin died Thursday, April 28, 2011, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City at the age of 62 years. Celebration of Life Memorial services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, May 2, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Williamsburg. Pastor Carl Cloeter will officiate. Burial will be at St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be today from 4 to 7 p.m. at Powell Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Williamsburg.
He was born Dec. 6, 1948, in Williamsburg, the son of Erich and Stella Esther (Bertschi) Madoerin. He graduated from Williamsburg High School in 1967 and from Kirkwood Community College in 1969. Ron has worked for Rockwell Collins in Coralville for 15 years.
Ron enjoyed collecting key chains, watching the Hawkeyes, NASCAR and spending time with his nieces and nephews. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Williamsburg.
He is survived by his mother, Esther of Williamsburg; three sisters, Carol (Ernie) Rigel of Cedar Rapids, Sandra Myers of Aurora, Colo., and Nancy (Jerry) Weldon of Parnell; a brother, Kevin (Delora) Madoerin of Williamsburg; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Ron was preceded in death by his father in 2001 and a brother, Albert, in infancy.
Memorials are for St. Paul Lutheran Church, Lutheran Interparish School or Camp Sunnyside in Des Moines.
