Margaret L. "Babi" Anderson, 91, of Cedar Rapids, passed away March 3, 2017, at Northbrook Manor Care Center. Services: 11 a.m. Thursday, March 9, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids. Visitation: 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 8, at the funeral home. Burial: Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Margaret is survived by her husband of 70 years, Raymond M. Anderson; children, Raymond R. Anderson and David A. (Susan) Anderson; grandchildren, Bryan (Molly), Amy (Dan) and Dan; great-grandchildren, Ian, Ellen, Katy and Clark; siblings, Marie Morrison and Wendle Besta; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and several siblings.
Margaret was born Jan. 26, 1926, in Minneapolis, Minn., the daughter of Joseph and Agnes (Malek) Besta. She married Raymond M. Anderson in Cedar Rapids on Jan. 25, 1947. Margaret was a wonderful homemaker her entire life. She was a great cook and a talented seamstress.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy, 315 18th Ave., Hiawatha, IA 52233.
