Carl Arvid Anderson, 72, of Wilton, passed away Wednesday, April 19, 2017, at Premier Estates. Cremation rites have been facilitated by Geo. M.
Wittich-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services in Muscatine. Memorial visitation will be Sunday, April 23, from 1 to 4 p.m. at Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services, where a celebration of life service will be at 4 p.m.
A memorial fund has been established at the funeral home in Carl's name.

Carl Arvid Anderson was born Aug. 14, 1944, in Storm Lake, Iowa, to Andrew and Helen Geraldine (Larimer) Anderson. Carl graduated from Albert City-Truesdale High School and attended Central Community College. He had worked for Prime Mover in Muscatine for more than 20 years, retiring as a former arc welder.
He enjoyed fishing, tropical fish and puzzles, and was an avid fan of Tony Stewart and Cal Ripken Jr. He was active in Boy Scouts and Toastmasters. His greatest love was his grandchildren.
Carl will be missed by his children, Clark Anderson of Muscatine, Derrick (Kimberly) Anderson of Bettendorf, Jennifer (Bret) Dorton of Flowery Branch, Ga., and Kathryn (Jim) Hoogestraat of Cedar Rapids; grandchildren, Michael and Nathaniel Anderson, Kaitlyn Anderson, Austin, Hannah and Chaela Dorton and Noah and Jade Hoogestraat; great-grandchildren, Taryn and Paige; sister, Christine (Denny) Anderson Schultz of Fonda, Iowa; and ex-wife, Christine Anderson.
He was preceded in death by his parents and older sister, Myrna Barnes.
