FRANK J. TEFFER Urbana Frank J. Teffer, 85, entered his eternal home on Thursday, April 26, 2018, after a long illness. His funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 1, 2018, at Urbana United Methodist Church with Pastor Susan Higdon officiating. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, April 30, 2018, at the church. Interment will be held at the Urbana Cemetery with graveside military rites conducted by the Walter J. Meyocks American Legion Post 264 of Urbana and Iowa Military Honors. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family. Frank was born on Aug. 4, 1932, in the Ely area, the son of Charles and Tillie (Becicka) Teffer. He received his eighth-grade education and began farming. He served his country in the United States Army from March 3, 1953, until his honorable discharge on Feb. 11, 1955. On Feb. 14, 1987, he married Anna Folkers. He is survived by his wife, Anna; stepchildren, Lora Schultz of Lisbon, Douglas Folkers of Shellsburg, Nancy Hughes of Cedar Rapids, Terry Folkers of Central City, Pamela (Craig) Barber of Shellsburg and Susan (Robert) Barton of Florida; grandchildren, Stephanie (Josh) Fuerstenberg of Ionia, Brandy (Mike) Nietert of Monticello, Heather Schultz of Lisbon, Stephen (Allison Lint) Folkers of Center Point, Kayla (Andy) Waldschmidt of Lone Tree, Matthew Barber of Hiawatha, Jeremiah Barber of Shellsburg, Cherish (Roger) Perry of Monticello, Luke Barber of Shellsburg, Nicole (Dustin) Fertig of Florida and Shelby (Daniel) Rigano of Florida; great-grandchildren, Garrett, Jasper, Cole and Cord Nietert, Madison Folkers, Peytin and Riggin Schultz, Kiera, Emma and Clara Perry, Scarlet Fertig, and Marissa and Josie Fuerstenberg; and his cousins, Sharon Brokel of Ely and Verlyn Skersick of Minnesota.
