Alvin "Al" Schroeder, 87, longtime resident of Iowa City, died Wednesday, Aug. 19, 2015, at Briarwood Health Care Center in Iowa City. A memorial service will be 10:30 a.m. Wednes-day, Sept. 30, at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Iowa City.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in his memory to Gloria Dei Lutheran Church.
