Thompson, LaRue
LaRue Thompson, 85, of Delhi, passed away Oct. 24, 2013. Celebration of Life will be at 1 p.m. Monday, Oct. 28, at the Delhi United Methodist Church. Family will greet friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. before the service Monday. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Delhi.
LaRue was born March 6, 1928, in Coggon, the daughter of Henry and Marie (McCusker) Ehlers. On Oct. 9, 1949, she was united in marriage to Glenn Thompson at Buck Creek United Methodist Church, Buck Creek. Glenn died Sept. 5, 1994.
LaRue was a homemaker and an avid square dancer with the Country Cousins.
LaRue is survived by two children, Corey (Karla) Thompson of Delhi and Lin (Don) Swanson of Walford; one sister, Jean (Rodney) Wilson of Buck Creek; 10 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
LaRue was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn; three children, Susan Mann, Kris Kramer and David Thompson; and one great-grandchild, Brevin Kramer.
