Sharon Kay Thompson, 51, died Saturday, Feb. 4, 2017, in Cedar Rapids. A Celebration of Life will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 9, in the club room at the Wilson Avenue Hy-Vee.
Survivors include one child, five brothers, three sisters, four grandchildren and 17 nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by Delores and Kenneth Thompson.
Sharon was a member of the victim advisory board for the Sixth District of the Department of Correctional Services for many years.
