Shirley L. Thompson, 87, of Janesville, Wis., for-merly of Cedar Rapids, died Dec. 2, 2015, in Janesville, Wis.
She was born Feb. 1, 1928, in Milwaukee, Wis., the daughter of Herrick and Margaret Halford. She married Kenneth L. Thompson on Dec. 28, 1946. The family moved to Cedar Rapids when Ken accepted a position with Wilson and Co. in the early 1960s. Upon her son Timothy's graduation from Washington High School class of 1965, the family relocated to Palmyra, Wis.
Shirley is survived by her son, Timothy (Patricia) Thompson of Janesville, Wis.; grandsons, Christopher (Bobbi) Thompson of Ordfordville, Wis., and Nathan (Carol) Thompson of Janesville, Wis.; 11 great-grand-children; one sister, Patricia Baumann of Waterford, Wis.; and a host of other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth, in 1992.
As Shirley wished, there will be no services.
