Geraldine Marie Byse, 77, of Cedar Rapids, passed away Sunday, Aug. 7, 2016, at her home in Cedar Rapids. Funeral services: 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 10, at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories with visitation one hour before the service. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Geraldine was born Sept. 4, 1938, in Carson, Iowa, the daughter of Ray and Naomi (Palmer) Broers. On Nov. 10, 1956, she was married to Lowell Byse. Geraldine cared for and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She had an avid love for animals and gardening. She and Lowell enjoyed traveling, as well as riding their Harley.
Geraldine was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Survivors include her husband, Lowell Byse; three daughters, Pamela Byse, Kathryn (Craig) Feeney and Theresa (John) Listebarger; and two grandchildren, Hanna and John Listebarger III.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Lanny.
