Dianne Moravek, 48, of Iowa City, passed away Friday, July 28, 2017, at home. Memorial service: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 2, at Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services, Mount Vernon. Visitation: 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 1, at the funeral home. Burial: St. Mary's Cemetery, Tipton.
Survivors include her mother, Joan; her siblings, Ronald (Julie) Moravek, Sharon (Doyle) Pickering, Kathy Moravek, Bob Moravek, Steven Moravek and twin sister, Denise (Richard) Konigsmark; and many extended family members and friends.
Dianne Elaine Moravek was born Nov. 18, 1968, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, to Russell and Joan (Stanton) Moravek. She attended Lincoln schools in Mechanicsville, graduating in 1987. Dianne enjoyed crafts, especially bead fusing, as well as Iowa Hawkeye basketball and football. She enjoyed joining the Special Olympics in long jump, 50-yard dash, softball throw and cheerleading. Dianne liked Christmastime and loved chocolate and candy, always keeping some "safe" in her room.
She was preceded in death by her father, Russell.
