Joann Hotz Evans Ballas passed away March 9, 2015, in Winston-Salem, N.C.
Joan was born Feb. 15, 1933, in an Anamosa, Iowa, hospital, the daughter of Eva (Tenley) and Eldon Hotz. She graduated from Olin High School in 1950.
Surviving is a son, Jack Evans of Katonah, N.Y.
