Burial: 1 p.m. at St. Joseph Cemetery, Iowa City. A vigil service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Teahen Funeral Home, where friends may visit with the family Sunday from 2 to 6 p.m., and Monday after 9:30 a.m. at the church.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Cor, Wim, Rie, Jan, Arie and Alex; and his sisters, Willy Voet and Marie Voet.
Everett was born May 29, 1935, in Beesd, Holland, the son of Jan and Alida Rink Kroeze. He served in the Royal Netherlands Air Force. Everett married Willy M. Post on Oct. 29, 1958, in Beesd. Everett and Willy owned and operated Holland Orchard and Nursery from 1963 to 2009.
The pride and joy of owning the Holland Orchard for 46 years was the many long-term friendships that were established through the many loyal customers and employees.
Everett was a longtime member of the Iowa Fruit Growers Association, the Iowa Nurseryman Association and the Cedar Rapids Antique Car Club. In his retirement, he enjoyed gardening, antiques, collectibles and, especially, spending time with his family.
