A most remarkable woman died on Easter Sunday. A woman with guts in the spiritual life. She has left a legacy of a kind that is worthy of the word. She inspired goodness and told people the truth about what life is all about. She wondered why she was inspired to build such a large monastery in Hanceville, Ala., now she and we know the reason.
It was meant to be a place of pilgrimage and people of all faiths will come there in large crowds and there will be miracles worked by God through her intercession. The evil of man is interred with his bones but the good lives on after him. No politically correct talk ever interfered with the truth of the eternal word during her sharings on EWTN-TV.
France has their Lourdes and Portugal has their Fatima, now America has their Hanceville, a place for people to gather for a spiritual uplifting. A faith lift.
Seeing the world as it is we realize how merciful God has been in offering EWTN to a very sick, confused world when man has murdered his own humanity in the random killing of his fellow man.
We Christians thank God for the life of Mother M. Angelica who until 92 years of age gave her all to God and for love of him she spread the good news of his love, mercy, and watchfulness over every unique individual ever conceived.
