David John Schuster, 71, of Delhi, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 3, 2014. Funeral Mass will be 10:30
a.m. Monday, Sept. 8, at St. John's Catholic Church, Delhi, with the Rev. John R. Kremer officiating. The family will greet friends from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 7, at St. John's Catholic Church, Delhi, and one hour before Mass. Burial will be in St. John's Catholic Cemetery, Delhi.
Survivors include his children, Andy (Amanda) Schuster and Megan (Josh) Burger; five grandchildren, Blake, Dylan, Krayton and Madux Burger and Brayden Schuster; sister, Joann Brawner; and brother, Dan (Jayne) Schuster.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Bill Schuster; and brother-in-law, Mike Brawner.
Davey was born Jan. 15, 1943, in Monticello, Iowa, the son of Henry and Minnie (Miller) Schustersich. He married Margo Laurent on Sept. 19, 1981, and they had two children. They later divorced. Davey served in the U.S. Army Reserves and was engaged in farming.
He was a member of St. John's Catholic Church, Delhi. He enjoyed socializing, helping others, spending time with his kids and grandkids, helping his brother, Dan, on the farm, and picking on his sister, Joann.
In lieu of flowers, the family will establish a memorial in Davey's memory.
