LILLIAN MARIE KOLEMBAR

Lillian Marie Kolembar, 94, of Robinson, passed away Saturday, June 16, 2018, at Evergreen Estates, Cedar Rapids. The family will greet friends from 4 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, June 19, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Central City. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, June 20, at Silver Creek United Methodist Church, Masonville, conducted by the Rev. Sheri Andersen. The family also will greet friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will take place at Silver Creek Cemetery, Masonville.
Lillian was born Nov. 5, 1923, in Walker, Iowa, the daughter of Frank and Lillian (Baker) Dvorak. On May 9, 1947, in Center Point, she was united in marriage to Charles Kolembar. Together they owned and operated the Kolembar General Store in Robinson, Iowa, for almost 30 years. Lillian was a member of Silver Creek United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her daughters, JoAnn (Mike) Woods of Coggon and Charlene Pratt of Newburgh, Ind.; grandchildren, Anne (Randy) Potter, Jeffrey (Amy) Woods, Heather (Matt) Mouser, Alan Pratt and AJ (Katie) Pratt; seven great-grandchildren, Amanda and Tim Potter, Elizabeth and Julie Woods, Eli and Abe Mouser, and Caroline Pratt; and a sister, Leona Opperman of Iowa City.
Lillian was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles; brother, Elmer Dvorak; and son-in-law, David Pratt.
The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to Joyce and John Flanagan and family, as well as the staff at Evergreen Estates, for their loving care of Lillian.
