Nancy Dora Daniels was born Feb. 18, 1930, in Columbia, Mo., the daughter of Thomas and Margaret Daniels. She attended and graduated from school in Missouri. On Feb. 2, 1951, she was united in marriage to John A. "Jack" Schneider at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Iowa City. The couple made their home in Iowa City and here they raised their family.
Nancy enjoyed camping with her family, listening to music, working puzzles until they were done, decorating to the hilt for any holiday, and playing cards with family and friends; she was known to sandbag a bit in euchre! She moved to the care center a number of years ago; here she was known as "Wiggles" for she was said to wiggle down the halls, getting others moving the same direction with smiles on their faces.
Her family includes two daughters, Mary Sasina (Jerry) and Cindy Cox, both of Iowa City; three grandchildren, Jason Sasina (Christi) and their son, Jared, of Hills; Jamie Hanson (Josh) and their children, Dillon and Kaylee, of Lone Tree; and Jennifer Cox and her daughter, Victoria Threskold, of Iowa City.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a brother, Thomas Daniels Jr.; and an infant son.
Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service is caring for Nancy's family and her services.
