Sisco, Martha Louise
Martha Louise Sisco, 77, of Cedar Rapids, died Friday, May 18, 2012, at her home after a courageous battle with cancer. Services: 2 p.m. Wednesday at Teahen Funeral Home by the Rev. Dan Sanford. Friends may visit at the funeral home after 1:30 p.m. Wednesday.
Martha is survived by two sons, Steven (Luesther) and Daniel Sisco, both of Cedar Rapids; four daughters, Linda (Gary) Moynihan of Fairfax, Cynthia Bascom of Glenwood Springs, Colo., Christine (Kent) Kilpatrick of Palo and Jody Sisco of Cedar Rapids; a sister, Norma (Albert) Santistevens of Minden, Neb.; a brother, David (Mary) Rusk of Marion; 17 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her son, Allen; two brothers, Paul and Jack Rusk; and a sister, Betty.
Martha was born Sept. 22, 1934, in Iowa City, the daughter of Louis and Frances (Rogers) Rusk. She married Lyle Lewis Sisco in Covington. They were later divorced. She retired in 1995 from Osco Drugs and had previously worked for Turner Microphone Co. and Goodwill Industries.
Martha had a special talent with crafts and could make anything she set her mind to. She enjoyed animals and nature and enjoyed focusing on loving her family.
