Daniel Lopez Isaac, 69, of Cedar Rapids, died Sunday, Jan. 27, 2019, at St. Luke's Hospital. Celebration of Life services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 2, at Brosh Chapel and The Avacentre, located at 2121 Bowling St. SW. Visitation will be from
4 to 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 1, at Brosh Chapel. Private family inurnment will be at a later date.
Daniel was born June 19, 1949, in San Antonio, Texas, the son of Lucio and Alicia (Lopez) Isaac. He was united in marriage to Elva Hernandez in Cedar Rapids. Daniel worked as an automotive body and paint mechanic for many years. He loved playing bingo, cards at Shawn Ryan's, fishing, watching the Dallas Cowboys, traveling to Texas and, most of all, spending time with his family, especially the grandkids and great-grandkids.
Daniel is survived by his wife Elva; children, Susan Isaac, Daniel (Cassie) Isaac, Lucio Isaac, Sandra (Chad) Cleppe, Manuel (Kimberly) Isaac, Eric Less Sr. and Alicia (Mike) Heintz; 31 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; his siblings, Olga (Justo) Garza, Alicia (Lupe) Estrada, Diana (Edward) Garcia, Estella Isaac, Rosa Isaac and Carlos Isaac; as well as many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings, Susan Ramos and Ernest Brown.
