Helen Chvala, 94, of Brooklyn, died Dec. 23, 2011, at Grinnell Regional Medical Center in Grinnell. Funeral services: 1:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 6, at Smith Funeral Home, Victor. Visitation: 2 to 7 p.m. Jan. 5 at the funeral home.
Helen is survived by two sons, Don (Lori) of Idaho Falls, Idaho and Mark (Marcella) of Victor; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; a sister, Esther; and two brothers, Russell and Allen Koeppen.
Memorials may be directed to the Helen Chvala Memorial Fund.
