Kathleen "Katie" Hobson, 92, of Cedar Rapids, passed away Saturday, July 25, 2015, at her home with her family by her side. Per Katie's wishes, cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will take place at a later date. Arrangements made by Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service.
Survivors include her children, Lillian (Harlan) Sailor of Cedar Rapids, Barbara Boston of Cedar Rapids, Thomas (Rhonda) Hobson of Hattiesburg, Miss., and George "Rick" (Patricia) Hobson of Cedar Rapids; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; siblings, Mary (Barry), Ken (Gail), Jim (Lil) and Les (Maureen); and many nieces, nephews and cousins, all of England.
She was preceded in death by her son, Jaimie Hobson; her husband, Thomas Hobson; granddaughter, Samantha Hobson; son-in- law, Daniel Boston; and sister, Joan Brodus.
Katie was an avid bingo player and enjoyed her trips to the casino. But her greatest love of all was spending time with all of her grandchildren.
