NWCA/Cliff Keen semifinals

Iowa and Iowa State looked solid in the semifinal round of the NWCA/Cliff Keen National Duals, advancing to face each other in the finals for the first time since 1992. The Hawkeyes won seven matches to claim a 28-12 victory over Minnesota for their 50th straight dual win. The Hawks received bonus points from Brent Metcalf (149), Ryan Morningstar (165), Jay Borschel (174) and Phil Keddy (184). Metcalf won by pin, Morningstar won by tech. fall and Keddy and Borschel added majors.

Iowa State rolled to 23-9 win over Ohio State University. Nick Fanthorpe and Jake Varner scored major decisions at 133 and 197, respectively.

Wartburg reached the finals for the eighth straight finals appearance. They'll meet Augsburg in the finals for the seventh time during that stretch. Augsburg won 21-20 over Wartburg in the finals a year ago. The Knights, seeded fourth, beat Delaware Valley, 25-12, while Augsburg topped Coe, 22-14.

The Kohawks assured themselves of their second straight top-4 finish, and a win over Delaware Valley would become the school's best finish at national duals.
