Poulson, Richard
Richard Poulson, 77, of Swisher, died Wednesday, April 14, 2010, at St. Luke's Hospital, Cedar Rapids, following a lingering illness. A memorial gathering will be held from 3 to 7 p.m. Monday, April 19, at Cedar Memorial Westside Chapel in Cedar Rapids. Cremation Society of Eastern Iowa is assisting the family.
Survivors include his wife, Bonnie Poulson of Swisher; sons, Mark (Deb) Poulson of Shueyville and Todd (Rhonda) Poulson of Amana; sisters, Donna McAtee of Van Horne and Nadine Anderson of Hawkeye; and four grandchildren.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and three sisters.
Richard Earl Poulson was born May 13, 1932, in Iowa City, Iowa, the son of Frank and Mary (Parbs) Poulson. On April 16, 1955, he married Bonnie Bunten at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. Richard worked as a machinist at Rockwell-Collins for many years.
Memorials may be given in his name to St. Luke's Hospice.
