West Liberty takes on No. 1 Monroe PCM in a Class 2A semifinal game Saturday night at the UNI-Dome in Cedar Falls.

Playoff path: West Liberty beat seventh-ranked Chariton in the first round, 30-10, and fourth-ranked Benton Community in the quarterfinals, 42-14. PCM crushed Carroll Kuemper in the first round, 49-0, and outscored Williamsburg in the quarterfinals, 55-34.
Overview: West Liberty has played the role of Cinderella thus far, reaching the semifinals for the first time since 1987.
The Comets lost three of the first four regular-season games but strolled through their district and posted a pair of playoff upsets. A big second half carried them past Benton.
Quarterback Seth Feldman is WL's predominant offensive player, as he has posted 2,149 yards rushing and passing and has 33 touchdowns.
Will Esmoil is next in total yardage and leads West Liberty in tackles.
PCM leads the state in 11-player scoring, averaging 49.7 points per game. It has not scored less than 29 in any game this season.
Quarterback Reed Worth has thrown for 2,065 yards and 25 touchdowns, adding 832 yards and 15 TDs on the ground.
Wes Cummings is PCM's leading rusher (1,434 yards, 22 TDs). Five different players have posted double-digit receptions this season.
