Richard Dean Matheny, 76, of Cedar Rapids, passed away Wednesday, June 25, 2014, at home from a sudden illness. Private family services will be held at a later date.
He is survived by his wife, Betty, of 54 years; three children; three grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by his mother, father, brothers and sisters.
