Letter: Elect candidates who call for gun control

At what point does America figure out that gun control laws are totally inadequate?
How is it that the FBI can interview someone twice because of hate speech and not find a way to prevent such a person from being on a checklist for buying a gun? Is the FBI training so lacking in psychological understanding that this would not be a step they could take? Why on earth should anyone be allowed to buy an AR-15 type of weapon - they should be for military use. When is enough enough?
This is an election issue. I will support those who will work for tightening controls on guns.
