Helen Ann Powell of Troy Mills passed away Oct. 28, 2016, surrounded by her family. At Helen's request, a private graveside service will be held Nov. 2 for the immediate family only. Arrangements by Murdoch Funeral Home, Center Point.
Helen Ann was born Sept. 11, 1934, in Wilbur, Neb., to Victor and Helen (Bartos) Dvorak. She graduated from Troy Mills High School in 1952. On July 20, 1952, she was united in marriage to Harry G. Powell Jr.
She is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Harry Powell Jr.; their two daughters, Lee Ann McCombs of Punta Gorda, Fla., and Debbie (Mike) Cady of Troy Mills; four grandchildren, Tendra Cady (Steve Mikkelsen), Elijah Ehlinger, Katy (Mitch) Fenton and Laura (Bret) Musser; nine great-grandchildren, Abby, Dane, Mikaela, Aubrey, Baylor, Adrian, Jax, Emery and Asher; three brothers, Victor, Frank and Edward Dvorak; and one sister, Joy Buchan.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents and parents.
Helen will be remembered for her love and dedication to her family.
