Olivia Knight, 83, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, died Tuesday, Dec. 8, 2020, at West Ridge Care Center in Cedar Rapids. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 14, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Cedar Rapids. Burial will follow at Linwood Cemetery in Cedar Rapids. All guests are respectfully requested to wear a mask and practice social distancing. A livestream of the private funeral service may be accessed on the funeral home website tribute page for Olivia under "photos and videos or media" starting at 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 14.
Olivia was born Oct. 29, 1937, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of William and Ada (Gruwell) Osborne. She graduated from Roosevelt High School. Olivia was united in marriage to Robert Leroy Knight on Feb. 9, 1956, in Cedar Rapids. She worked at Altorfer Machinery until her retirement in 1995. Olivia was active at St. Patrick Catholic Church, serving as a greeter, a Eucharistic minister and assisting with funeral dinners. She also worked the Friday night fish frys. Olivia loved traveling.
Survivors include her husband of 64 years, Robert Knight; children, Ronald Knight, Karl Knight, Cheri (Jeff Fuller) Knight and Bruce Knight; grandchildren, Shawn (Nichole) Witham, Lindy (Andy) Buck and Robert Knight; siblings, William (Char) Osborne, Ada Albaugh and Sylvia (Donald) Naibert; and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother-in-law, Keith Albaugh.
