Ringgenberg, Katheryne Laverne

Katheryne Laverne Ringgenberg, 79, of Center Point, died Saturday, April 14, 2012, at St. Luke's Hospital, Cedar Rapids. Funeral service: 1:30 p.m. Thursday, April 19, 2012, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Center Point by Ken Graham. The family will greet friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 18, 2012, at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Thursday. Burial: Center Point Cemetery.

Survivors include her husband, Delbert Ringgenberg; two sons, Dennis E. Ringgenberg of Toddville and DeWayne (Diane) Ringgenberg of Walker; four grandchildren, Melissa (Michael) Hassebrock, Carly Ringgenberg, Dennis Lee Ringgenberg, and Rodney Ringgenberg; and four great-grandchildren, Ethan, Will, Caleb, and Sam; brothers, Ben (Wanda) McMullen and Sam McMullen; sisters, Lyletta Jo Linder and Dixie McGee Carkhuff; and brother-in-law, David Ruffert.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Josephine Katheryne Mae (Smith) and Laverne Widner McMullen; a brother, Lester; and two sisters.

Katheryne was born November 2, 1932, in Harris, Mo. On September 30, 1950, she was united in marriage to Delbert Ringgenberg. Katheryne worked for many years at Rockwell Collins as a secretary and she enjoyed bowling.
