Irene G. Houser, 93, formerly of the Meadows Apartments in Cedar Rapids, fell asleep in death Saturday, April 7, 2012, at Crestview Acres Nursing Home in Marion, after a short illness. Burial will be in Linwood Cemetery, next to her husband, Paul who preceded her in death. Brosh Chapel in Cedar Rapids is assisting the family. A son, Milton; her parents; and 11 siblings, also preceded her in death.
Irene was born Dec. 13, 1918, to John and Annie Hammrich at Ipswich, S.D. She married Paul M. Houser on April 1, 1940, in Menahga, Minn.
